Watching all of the colors pop on the landscape as the beautiful flora and foliage of the summer begin their decent to recharge over the winter makes us think about color for the interior of our homes. As we spend more time inside our home - “Midwest hibernation” - we often get the itch to make some changes. What a perfect time to take a look at your home and channel your favorite decorators, favorite color palettes and favorite style!!

Thank goodness color and texture are trending again as we start seeing colorful cabinetry, bright upholstery, and vibrant wallpapers reappear on the scene. Color/Fabric/Pattern Alert!
Move aside neutrals! We’re in love with Savanah Green one of Benjamin Moore’s 2023 colors of the year which looks amazing in this dining room below…warm and inviting and perfect with blue-green accents.
And how about the wallpaper and cabinet color in the above sweet kitchen? So whimsical and gotta love the pink and green combo!
Pretty, pretty powder room, classic with an edge. Yes, colors and patterns are making a comeback and we thought you might love some of these ideas. We would love to see your take on these trends too!
Please share pictures of your use of colors/fabrics/patterns on our social media: Instagram.com/quaidandrooney Facebook.com/quaidandrooney Give us a call to discuss your buying and selling options!

mike@quaidandrooney.com
Having grown up in Glen Ellyn and currently living in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood, Mike understands the advantages of city and suburban living. He specializes in helping clients find and sell homes in some of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods—Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Wrigleyville, Edgewater, Streeterville and many more. In addition to helping people with Chicago properties, Mike also works with clients in the western suburbs.
Prior to joining the Quaid & Rooney team, Mike spent the earlier part of his career in residential construction management, thus making the transition to becoming a buyer and listing agent a very natural progression for him.
Mike thinks the best part of his job is finding the perfect home for his clients. "Chicago has so many housing styles and neighborhoods—there really is something for everyone."
